"Hollywood's Great Charlie Chan"

TIMELINE: THE RENAISSANCE OF "THE GREAT CHARLIE CHAN"
Once Upon A Time...
Harvey Chertok produced "The Great Charlie Chan"--a one-hour documentary about Hollywood’s legendary detective.

It premiered in a gala event at the Museum Of Modern Art/NY to launch their Charlie Chan Film Festival (March 4-17, 1968) that included 20th Century-Fox’s 21 Warner Oland and Sidney Toler Chan films--which were then being released for TV by Warner Bros.-Seven Arts. "TGCC" then went on to be seen on over 50 U.S. TV stations, and the CBC-TV Network in Canada.
